Alice M. Madison, 95, formerly of Andalusia, passed away Saturday October 13, 2018 at Silver Cross Nursing Center, Rock Island. Services will be 12:00pm Wednesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Visitation will be from 10:00 to service time at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Andalusia Cemetery. She was born on December 3, 1922 in Taylor Ridge, the daughter of Joseph and Henrietta Carlson. Alice attended Andalusia elementary school and later Rock Island High School.

She married John E. Madison on March 23, 1940 in Davenport. He preceded her in death on July 19, 1997. Mrs. Madison was a Worthy Matron with Andalusia Eastern Star, member of Pine Bluff Church and had been a Sunday school teacher at Andalusia Baptist Church.

She loved playing Euchre and participating in tournaments and had been active earlier with the Andalusia PTA. Survivors include her Children, Dixie (Robert) Purvis, Reynolds, Billie Kay (Richard) DeKeyrel, Illinois City, Michael (Terri) Madison, Taylor Ridge, John (Nikki) Madison, Andalusia; 9 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren 3 great great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren due in 2019.
