Obituary of Alice Mills Boonville- Alice E. Mills, 87, of Schuyler St., passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2018, at her residence, while under the care of her sister and hospice care. Affectionately known as Liz, she was born in Akron, Ohio, on April 5, 1931. Liz grew up near Akron, graduating from Doylestown, Ohio High School.

Thereafter for several years she was a ball room dance teacher in New York City and in Akron. Later for thirty five years until retiring in 1992, Liz was employed as a private secretary for the Shoup Voting Machine Manufacturing Co, of New York City. She and her sister Sharon moved from Pawling, NY, to their present home in Boonville, many years ago.

In addition to her sister, Sharon L. Vodden, Boonville, Liz is survived by their brother, George M. Mills, Tennessee, nephews, Larry Mills, Tennessee, Bryan Withrow, Ohio, Raymond Vodden, Virginia, and Erik Vodden, Florida, a niece, Daneale Santana, California, and a brother in law, Philip Withrow, Mississippi. Alice is also survived by great nephews, Nathan and Joshua Santana of California, Nicholas Withrow, Ohio, Mason Vodden, Florida, Jeremy and Justin Mills, of Tennessee and great niece, Jennifer Fritsch, North Carolina and Emma Vodden, Florida, along with a myriad of great great nieces and nephews. They all knew Alice as “Aunt Sissy”.

Liz loved her home in Boonville and enjoyed spending many years restoring and decorating their home. Liz was cremated at Waterville Cemetery Crematory and her ashes will be buried in Hillside Memorial Park, Akron, Ohio in the spring, 2019. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc. 4277 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, NY 13413.

Her family wishes to extend a special note of thanks and great appreciation to the staff of Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc. for the compassionate care which they gave to Liz. Her arrangements are in care of Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. Boonville.
