Obituary for Allen L. Ward Jr. GREENFIELD– Allen L. Ward Jr., age 76, of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018, at St. Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on July 19, 1941 in Greenfield as the son of Allen L. Ward Sr. and Ruth (Fisher) Ward. He graduated from Hancock Central High School in 1959.

He married Jewel “Judy” (Price) in 1969 in Greenfield. He was a self-employed brick mason and semi-truck driver for many years. He ran Al’s Produce Stand in both Greenfield and Ft.

Myers, FL for many years as well. Allen was a member of Bethel Baptist Church; he loved fishing, camping, and traveling to Florida. He is survived by his wife, Judy Ward of Greenfield; children, Mark (Kelly) Ward of Ft.

Myers, FL, Marsanne (Joe) Kunzer of Cicero, IN, Mike (Melanie) Shetterly of Fortville, IN, Laurisa (Kevin) Gillmartin of Colorado, and Jeff Ward of Colorado; siblings, Judy Morris, Wayne (Sharon) Ward, and Roger (Gloria) Ward, all of Greenfield; fifteen grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen Sr. and Ruth Ward; and son, Brian Ward. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy.

40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 1:30 p.m. also at the mortuary. Pastor Tommy Hensley will be officiating.

Burial will follow at Mendon Cemetery in Pendleton, IN. Friends may share a memory or a condolence at www. erleweinmortuary.com.
