Obituary for Allen Lee Morris Allen Lee Morris, 81, of Rising Star, Texas passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 1, 2019. Allen was born to Berry and Willa Mae Morris on November 7, 1937 in Rising Star, TX. He spent his entire life in Rising Star and passed at the house he was born in.

Allen went into the US Navy out of high school and served our nation during the time of the Cuban missile crisis. He returned to Rising Star and had 6 children. Allen was recently married to Darla Morris who had been a wonderful companion for him for over ten years.

Allen was a jack of all trades and a master of none. He worked a few different jobs around the area from delivering Coca-Cola, running the VFW in Rising Star as his father had, to his favorite, working on cars and being a mechanic. Allen had a love for vehicles and owned some classics himself.

He enjoyed going to car shows and showing his cars while discussing the mechanics and observing the beauty of the other vehicles there. Allen had a 1972 Chevrolet pick-up that he had put his heart and soul into and it was the love of his life as far as his vehicles are concerned. He loved his family above all and had a special place for his pets and animals.

Allen is survived by his beloved wife, Darla Morris of Rising Star; sons, David Morris of Brownwood and Keith and wife April Morris of Godley, TX; daughters, Deniece and husband Kelly Mathew of Brownwood, Oretha and husband Terry Conner of Brookesmith, TX, Deedra and husband Martin Molotsky of Bangs; sisters, Carolyn Anderson, Darlene Becker and Lanelle Perkins; his beloved furry best friends, Belle and Baby; 22 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Allen was preceded in death by both parents, a son, James Lee Morris and Aline Morris. The family will have a memorial planned for a later date in Rising Star.
