Allen Perry Soughers, 87, of Hymera Indiana died Sunday Nov. 11, Veterans Day, at Sullivan County Community Hospital surrounded by loving family of a massive stroke. Allen was born in Hymera Indiana on Oct 6, 1931 to Harry Archie and Donna (Gouchenhour) Soughers.

He graduated from Hymera High School and Perdue University. He served in the U.S. Airforce during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post 298 of Hymera Indiana. He was very proud to be an American Veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley (Henning ) Soughers, son Joe Soughers of Plainfield Indiana, step grandson Joey Edmonson of Jasonville Indiana, daughter Rebecca L’Ecuyer, son-in-law Tom L’Ecuyer of Virginia, grandson Jake L’Ecuyer of Detroit Michigan, son Mark Soughers of St. Louis Missouri. , sister Betty (Soughers) Kirby of Denver Colorado. He was preceded in death by his son David Soughers of St Louis Missouri.
