Amalia’s Obituary Amalia Trejo, 83, of Pampa, passed away March 15, 2019 in Pampa. Celebration of Life services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, March 17, 2019, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Francisco Luna, officiating.

Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Monday, March 18, 2019, at Iglesia Cristiana Canaan Church, with Rev. Francisco Luna, officiating. Burial will follow Monday’s service at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Amalia was born July 10, 1935 in Dr. Castillo del Valle, Durango, Mexico. As a young lady, she married Gonzalo Salazar in Mexico. He later preceded her in death.

Amalia later found love again when she met Celestino Trejo, Sr., and they married in 1967 in Chicago, Illinois. She and her husband moved to Pampa in 1982, and Celestino would precede her in death in 1994. She was a member of the Iglesia Cristiana Canaan Church.

Amalia was a giving and compassionate woman who was always willing to help others. She was a steadfast Christian and prayer warrior, who was always praying for her family and others. Amalia will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Survivors include Joe Gutierrez and wife Ramona, Dora Pepi and husband Manuel, Cecilia Morales and husband Enrique, Petra Salazar and husband Carlos, Leticia Blanco and husband Magdaleno, Benita Salazar, Consuelo Blanco and husband Benjamin, Juana Blanco and husband Miguel, Celestino Trejo and wife Araceli, Daniel Trejo and wife Emma, and Zenaida Salazar and husband Sergio; 29 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family.
