OBITUARY Ann H. Woodie November 4, 1933 – January 19, 2019 LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Ann Harris Woodie, 85, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 21, 2019 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, with interment to follow in Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 4530 Park Rd.

, Ste. 230, Charlotte, NC 28209. Mrs. Woodie was born November 4, 1933 in Statesville, NC, and passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019.

She was a daughter of the late Ray Jurney and Helen Cashion Harris. Mrs. Woodie lived in Charlotte, NC, from 1953 – 1972 and in Newark, DE, from 1972 – 1975 prior to moving to Lexington, SC, in 1975. She was a secretary for Southern Bell in Charlotte, NC, Division Sales.

She was a member of several organizations, including the Beta Sigma Phi-Gamma Upsilon Business Sorority, First Baptist Church (where she taught five year-olds), Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Columbia and Daughters of the Holy Cross. She was docent at Columbia Historical Society-Woodrow Wilson House for ten years, ending in 1990, and an organ student since 1998. She co-owned Appliance Sales and Service in Columbia, SC.

Mrs. Woodie is survived by her husband, Bob Woodie, of Lexington, SC; sons, Mark Woodie (Kathi) of Atlanta, GA, and Merwin Woodie of Lexington, SC; grandsons, Michael Woodie (Brandice) of Denver, CO and Matthew Woodie (Maggie) of Jefferson, GA; great-granddaughters, Emma Kaye, Ella Lane and Eden Tyler Woodie, all of Jefferson, GA; sister, Barbara Daniels of Charlotte, NC; brother-in-law, Joe Woodie of Atlanta, GA and sister-in-law, Deanie Merrit Woodie of Atlanta, GA. She was predeceased by her daughter, Kaye Marquitta Woodie; sisters, Betty Mackey, Teresa Baity, Iva Nell Harris and brother, Bill Harris.
