OBITUARY Ricky Arnold Cope February 10, 1944 – January 10, 2019 WEST COLUMBIA – A memorial service for Ricky Arnold Cope, 74, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family suggests any memorial donations be made to Lexington Medical Center, 2720 Sunset Blvd.

, West Columbia, SC 29169. Ricky was born February 10, 1944 in Orangeburg, SC, and passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019. He was a son of the late Grace Moore and Edgar E. “Gene” Cope.

He graduated from Moultrie High School in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Ricky was an avid USC Gamecock fan and enjoyed any activity associated with shagging, especially the SOS beach events.

He participated in water sports and loved to read, especially the daily newspaper. Ricky was always willing to lend a helping hand and was a friend to all. He is survived by his brother, Larry Cope (Anna) of Columbia; niece and nephews, Kimberly, Andy and Wesley Cope and his loving companion of 17 years, Betty White.
