Gilbert-Services for James Edward “Buck” Jumper, 68, will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with the Rev. Glenn Day officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Kitchen Fund 246 St. Paul’s Church Rd. Gilbert, SC 29054 or Harry Hampton Wildlife Fund TOMO P. O. Box 167 Cola.

, SC 29202. Mr. Jumper passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019. Born in Lexington County, he was a son of the late Bennie O. (Ben) and Addie Rae Koon Jumper.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, a US Army Vietnam Veteran, and retired from Southeastern Freight Lines with 39 years of service. Survivors include a son, Benji Jumper (Gina); a daughter, Paige Craps (David); brother, William Jumper (Reba); sisters, Dorothy Taylor, Betty Jo Day, Maurice Rae Derrick, Mary Ann Risinger, Sandra Clamp (Kendle), Rachel Lowman (Cecil), Elaine Eargle (Jimmy), and Linda Shealy (Terry); grandchildren, Blake and Courtney Craps and Ashton Jumper. He was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn Addy Jumper, sister, Mavis Koon Jumper and an infant brother.
