Obituary for Anne Phillips Prosser Surfside Beach, SC Anne Phillips Prosser, age 82, died Saturday June 23, 2018 at Grand Strand Nursing Center. Born in Kingstree, SC, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Coker and Betty Brown Phillips. Mrs. Prosser was an active member of Garden City Baptist Church and a former member of Cedar Swamp Methodist Church.

She was a commercial and instrument rated pilot, and a member of the Flying Farmers, Petticoat Pilots and the breakfast club. Mrs. Prosser was the owner and operator of Prosser’s Grocery. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, E.W. Prosser, Jr., son, Ernest W. Prosser, III, brother, Tom Phillips, and sisters; Iris Hill and Lynn Schlock.

She is survived by her daughters; Betty “Bebe” Beasley of Bishopville, SC and Chandler Murphree of Surfside Beach, SC, grandchildren; E.W. Prosser, IV of Kingstree, SC, Elizabeth Diciero (Michael) of Rock Hill, SC, Amy Bartlett (Andrew) of Raleigh, NC, Coker Prosser (Virginie) of Texas, Matthew Beasley of Greenville, SC and Eric Murphree (Deanna) of Summerville, SC and Anna Goldfinch (Heyes) of Conway, SC, nine great grandchildren and two sisters; Margaret Nicholson (Francis) of Greenwood, SC and Lois Hodge (Herbert) of Sumter, SC. A memorial service for Mrs. Prosser will be 2:00PM on Friday July 6, 2018 at Cedar Swamp Methodist Church, Kingstree, SC. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
