Obituary for Kevin Neil Matheny Myrtle Beach…… Kevin Neil Matheny, age 63, died Sunday, June 17, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Matheny was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia, a son of the late Nelda Josephine Matheny Ware. He was an avid wood worker, enjoyed searching for treasure on the beach with his metal detector, photography, and mining for gold.

He was a loving grandfather and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Prior to retirement, he was employed by AutoZone Auto Parts in Myrtle Beach. Surviving are: daughters, Brooke Nicole Matheny Merritt (Ray) and Beck Royce Matheny, all of Conway; and grandchildren, Tyler Jade Sitzes, Parker Brooke Inman, Haylee Jean Merritt, Alyssa Jo Merritt.
