Obituary for Charles “Chuck” Kelty Myrtle Beach…Charles “Chuck” Kelty Charles “Chuck” Kelty age 87 died Monday, May 28, 2018 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. Born on April 29, 1931 in Quincy, MA he was a son of the late Louis and Marjorie Bishop Kelty. Chuck lived in Myrtle Beach for 22 years.

He was a Mobil Oil truck driver, a Pro Shop manager at Nevele Country Club in Ellenville, NY and was the general manager at Shawangunk Country Club. He was a lifelong member of the Elks and Moose Lodge both in Murrells Inlet. Chuck’s passion was golf, he taught for many years both in New York and South Carolina.

He was always ready to give someone a tip on their golf game. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Kelty. Survivors include his wife, Gloria Hums; a son, Charles Kelty; daughters, Kathryn Rennert and Cynthia Smith; grandchildren, Jared, Jackson, Jacob Kelty, Michael, Melissa Belnap and Brian Porter; sisters, Barbara Sandoli, and Marjorie Clark; a brother, David Kelty and his cats, Murphy and Eadie and dog, Molly.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, June 18, 2018 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel with a reception to follow in the Goldfinch Funeral Home Celebration Center.
