Obituary for Donna Marilyn Freeman Donna Marilyn Freeman, 88, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, formerly of Marquette, Michigan, entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at National Health Care of Garden City, Murrells Inlet, SC. Donna was born on January 17, 1930, at Bell Memorial Hospital, Ishpeming, Michigan, to the late Arthur and Hilda (Jarvi) Tuula. She was a resident of Michigan until 2015, then moving to SC to spend her final years near her daughter.

She was a former member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Marquette. Donna was a graduate of Republic Central High School, Class of 1948. She graduated from Suomi College, now Finlandia University, in 1950, with an Associate Degree in Business Administration.

She was employed at The First National Bank and Trust Co., now Wells Fargo Bank in Marquette, until the birth of her first child. She was also employed at the Marquette Medical Center, now the Upper Peninsula Medical Center, in the offices of The Eye Associates until her retirement. Donna was united in marriage to Wesley M. Freeman on July 5, 1952, at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Republic, Michigan.

They were married for 54 years and blessed with a daughter and a son. Donna was loved dearly, and she greatly loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed playing Bridge, participating in aerobics, and was an avid reader.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Peggy E. Freeman (Christopher “Mike” Tyer) of Myrtle Beach, SC; her son, Frederick W. Freeman (Christy) of Traverse City, MI; her grandchildren, Heather C. Freeman of Grand Rapids MI, Anna N. Freeman and Eric R. Freeman (Lyssa Peck) both of Traverse City, MI; and her great-grandchildren Audrey Marie Freeman, Wesley Harvey Freeman, and Rozlyn Viveca Freeman, all of Traverse City. MI. Donna is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins of whom she cherished.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wesley M. Freeman, and her beloved brothers Douglas A. O. Tuula, and Dale G. Tuula. A Memorial Service and Interment for Donna will take place on Monday, July 2, 2018, 1:30 pm, at the Negaunee Cemetery, Negaunee, Michigan. Friends and relatives are welcome.

Pastor Steve Solberg of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Negaunee, MI, will preside over the service. Arrangements for Donna’s final rest have been made by Goldfinch Funeral Home Beach Chapel, Murrells Inlet, SC, and Koskey Funeral Home of Negaunee, MI.
