Obituary for Anne R. Lewis CLIFTON PARK, NY Anne R. Lewis, 89, died on July 28, 2018. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and had lived in Cohoes, NY and Speigletown, NY for many years. Anne is the daughter of the late Daniel and Lucy Napurano Pascazio.
She was the loving wife of the late Robert G. Lewis until his passing in 2009. Anne graduated from Cohoes High School in 1947. Anne worked at Danny’s Grill, a restaurant owned by her family in Cohoes, NY and was a waitress at the former Andrew’s Restaurant in Brunswick, NY.
Anne was also a member of the former St. Rita’s Church Sodality in Cohoes, NY. Anne truly had a love for life and lived hers to the fullest. Anne’s greatest joy in life came from simple pleasures such as good food, cooking, reading, socializing and spending time with her family.
Anne enjoyed spending time at the Saratoga Race Course or casinos where she always managed to win and was often deemed to be the “luckiest” by those closest to her. Anne loved taking vacations and especially adored her yearly visits to Lake George, NY as she enjoyed recounting the honeymoon she took there with her late husband. Anne always had a positive and spirited attitude, as well as a wonderful smile that could light up a room.
Anne was extremely generous, forgiving and always managed to put the needs of others before her own. Anne put much effort into instilling these same values in her children and grandchildren. On any given Sunday you could find Anne in the kitchen preparing sauce, macaroni, and meatballs for her family and anyone who happened to appear at her doorstep that day.
Survivors include her children who she cherished, Daniel (Donna) Lewis, Lynne (Richard) Clickner, Robert (Kim) Lewis and Gregg (Dorothy) Lewis. Grandmother to Daniel Lewis, Eric Lewis, Tara Lewis, Heather Clickner, Erica (Richard) Cleveland, Danielle Lewis, Joseph Lewis, Jessica (Garrett) Mallison, and Nicholas Lewis. Anne is survived by her brother Alphonse Pascazio.
She was also the sister of the late Jennie Bonomo, Frank Pascazio, Sophie Assini, and Diane Iannone. Anne is also survived by her sister-in-laws Shirley Stout, Isabelle Lewis and brother-in-laws Louie Iannone and William Hartshorn. Additionally, Anne is survived by several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
At Anne’s request there will be no calling hours, but family and friends are welcome to attend a brief viewing in order to pay their respects to Anne from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m on the morning of Thursday, August 2, 2018 at the Marra Funeral Home located at 246 Remsen Street, Cohoes, NY. A memorial mass will then be held at the Holy Trinity Church in Cohoes, NY that is set to begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY at 12:00 noon. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated doctors, nurses, and staff at the Rubin Dialysis Center in Troy, NY, St. Peter’s Hospital 4th Floor Cardiology in Albany, NY and Our Lady of Mercy Life Center in Guilderland, NY who cared for Anne Lewis.
