Franklin, NC Mrs. Annie West Cookston, 88, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018. Mrs. Cookston was born May 17, 1930 in Macon County to the late Edgar L. West and Mattie Rhinehart West. She was married to the late Chandler Robert Cookston who preceded her.

Mrs. Annie loved traveling, family history, and also a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Franklin Ward. Mrs. Cookston leaves behind a great legacy of children and grandchildren; five daughters, Brenda Godlewski (Brent) of Mount Vernon, New Hampshire, Wanda Durden (Alan), Donna Scruggs (Tim), Felicia Mashburn (Bobby) all of Franklin, and Jeana Roten (Kevin) of Anderson, S.C. and one son, Kevin Cookston (Susan) of Sugar Hill, GA; 24 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Henderson.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the Oakgrove Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. Kenneth Anderson officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Online condolences may be left at www.
