Anthony Alan Maddox was born February 22nd 1983 to Alan Maddox of Beaver Dam, KY and Theresa Wood (Maddox) Borchelt originally of Brownsville, KY. Anthony was a member of Pleasant Union Church in Brownsville, KY where he became a born again Christian and was baptized at Rhoda Creek in Chalybeate, KY. Anthony loved people and loved helping people.

From golf, fitness and work he gave 100%. He was a huge UK fan and unless you could be laser focused and quiet you did not want to watch a game with him. He was absolutely head over heels in love with his daughter who looks and acts just like him.

He kissed her at least 50+ times a day and she was so happy with her Daddy. He was so happy to have found the woman to spend his life with and he said over and over, “I knew 14 years ago I wanted to marry Shannon! ” Anthony was a passionate child that grew to be a passionate man that was continuously striving to be better than the day before.

In our eyes, he was already perfect! His heart was as big as the sky and his blue-green eyes were the color of the most beautiful ocean water. If you ever had the opportunity to talk to Anthony you left feeling happy, upbeat and motivated as he impacted everyone with the same positive spirit he exuded.

He was an inspiration, supporter and mentor to so many. It’s ironic that the same drive for seeking perfection in life is ultimately what killed him. He won every single thing in a huge way and only now lost in a huge way.

At only 35 years old Anthony had accomplished more than most do their entire lives yet he remained humble, always helping others along the way. He loved his job as a real estate agent at Five Star Realty. He loved being back home in Ohio Co working for his Dad and with his sister, being moments away from family and seeing friends daily while making new friends everywhere he went.

Anthony lived a vibrant life he loved and life loved him! He loved traveling to new and different places and had so many plans to continue doing just that! He said, “I will work to give back, build an awesome life for Finley and travel” and it was in that order!

He had plans of a beautiful wedding and a bright future. He had plans for next week! We want Anthony to be remembered by his energetic and happy spirit, faith in God, the indescribable love and pride for his daughter, beautiful soul, how he cared for people, charismatic presence, the most loyal friend, amazing brother, his perfect smile and infectious loud laugh!

Anthony leaves behind part of himself in his daughter Finley; his Father Alan Maddox (Smom Sonja); his Mother Theresa Wood Borchelt (Step/Father Kevin); his fiancé Shannon Miracle of Georgetown; sister Ashley Maddox Hargus (Collin, whom he called brother); two stepsisters, Megan Cuda (Dan) and Molly Tanner (Griffin) two nieces Reagan and Peyton; brother Aaron Maddox (Whitney); niece Willow; Nephew, Gatlin Barnes (Lauren Loney) and great-niece MacKensie all of Ohio County. Many aunts, uncles and cousins in KY, UT, and TN. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Marvin and Connell Maddox of Beaver Dam, his maternal grandparents L.G. and Carlene Wood of Brownsville, KY, and one aunt Julia Wood of Brownsville, KY.
