OBITUARY Antonetta Cusano January 11, 1920 – July 23, 2018 Antonetta (Rotundo) Cusano, 98, of Wethersfield, wife of the late Serafino P. Cusano, died peacefully, Monday, July 23, 2018 surrounded by her devoted family. She was born January 11, 1920 in Ievoli, province of Catanzaro, Italy and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Assunta (Mascaro) Cusano. Antonetta devoted her life to raising her family.

She was excellent at needlework, especially knitting and crocheting. She enjoyed big family get-togethers, where she was the life of every party. She was predeceased by her adoring son, Mario Cusano.

A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Antonetta will be forever missed by her children, John Cusano, with whom she made her home, and his partner Eileen, Linda Grames and husband Michael of Spencer, MA, Samuel P. Cusano and wife Lisa of Rocky Hill, Stephen Cusano, Ilio Cusano and wife Gina, all of Wethersfield; ten adored grandchildren, Juliet and husband Paul, Courtney, Samuel J., Katherine, Jeffrey, Danielle, Stevie, Johnny, Samantha and Matthew and three cherished great-grandchildren, Alina Marie, Lorenzo and Samuel K. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Connie Sanelli of Wethersfield, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Antonetta will be remembered by all who knew her for her zest for life, her inviting smile and her ability to find a reason to celebrate every day. Special thanks to the nurses and staff of the 4th Floor Conklin Building at Hartford Hospital for the love, care and compassion shown to Antonetta and her entire family.

Funeral service will be Monday at 9 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. , Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St., Wethersfield. The burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill.

Family and friends may call on Sunday from 3-6 p.m.at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel. Donations in Antonetta’s memory may be made to Foodshare, 450 Woodland Ave. , Bloomfield, CT 06002.
