Archie’s Obituary Mr. Archie Wright Jernigan, age 73, of Elizabethtown, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019, at his home. He was born on January 17, 1946, in Horry County, SC to the late Ira Jernigan and the late Geneva Fowler Jernigan. He was a veteran of the US National Guard.

Before retirement, he was the former manager of Winn-Dixie. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ann McLean Jernigan, one sister, Betty Spotts, and one brother, Larry Jernigan. He is survived by his children: Chris Jernigan and wife Laura of Whiteville, Angela Yankasky and husband Art of Elizabethtown, and Alyssa Jernigan of Greenville, NC; six grandchildren: Tiffany, Adam, Lauren, Zachary, Rudy, and Ella; four great-grandchildren: Adalynn, Kaleb, Chloe, and Matthew; and two brothers, Linville Jernigan of Hope Mills and Jimmy Jernigan of Monroe.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. in Lumberton. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton.
