Sara’s Obituary Mrs. Sara “Sallye” Parrish died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 26, 2019, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, NC. She was 85. Formerly of Fairmont, WV, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. E. Paul Michael.

Upon graduating West Fairmont High School, she attended West Virginia University. She lived in Richmond, VA for 40 years with a summer home on Islesford, ME. She and her family were members of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Richmond, VA for many years until they moved permanently to their summer home in Maine in 1999.

Her health issues predicated her move to North Carolina to be near her son Joseph’s family. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, James M. Parrish; three sons: J. Michael, Jeffrey, and Joseph; her daughter-in-law, Kendra Parrish; two granddaughters, Sarah and Callie; and extended family members. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2019, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Lumberton, NC.
