Arlene Elizabeth Wilson Higley December 6, 1935- May 18, 2018 Arlene Higley, 82, peacefully passed away on Friday, May 18, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was a long time resident of Clearfield, Utah and an active member of the LDS Church. She was born to Mack and Mabel Wilson on December 6, 1935, in Brigham City, Utah.

She married the love of her life, Delbert V. Higley on October 14, 1955. They were sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on May 29, 1957. From this marriage they were blessed with five children.

Arlene was Valedictorian of Box Elder High School class of 1954. After graduation, she attended Utah State University and was employed by Thiokol Corporation. She later gained employment with Utah Department of Corrections, Adult Probation and Parole office as an office administrator from which she retired in 2000.

She enjoyed baking and cooking, especially her rolls and brownies, which many complimented. Her entire life was dedicated to her family and the wonderful family parties that meant so much to everyone. Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert; sisters, Evelyn Brunson, Jeannie Sant, and brother, Joel Wilson.

She is survived by her loving sister Delores (Frank) Williams, and her five children, Martin Higley (Teresa); Kevin Higley (Denise); Mike Higley (Beth); Jon Higley (Deanna); and Kimberly (Higley) Lujan; 11 grandchildren and four great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that loved her dearly. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 24, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Clearfield 10th Ward, 350 Vine Street, Clearfield, Utah. Friends may visit with family, Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm at the Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the services.

Interment at Clearfield City Cemetery, 1050 South State Street, Clearfield, Utah.
