McAllen – Mr. Armando J. Rosales, 74, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 9, 2019 surrounded by his family at McAllen Medical Center. Born on May 30, 1944 in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Manuel and Magdalena (Jauregui) Rosales, he had resided in McAllen for most of his life. Armando was an army veteran, having proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.

He enjoyed dancing, traveling, Bar-b-cuing, doing yard work and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Armando loved his trucks and motorcycles and had a passion for playing pool like a champ that he was. He loved telling jokes and was truly the life of the party.

He lived his life to the fullest. Armando will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife: Consuelo Rosales; his children: Ruben Rosales, Elizabeth Rosales, Victor Rosales and Orlando Rosales; his grandchildren: Alexander Rosales, Angela Rosales and Olivia Rosales; and his sister: Elia Macias. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Sunday February 17, 2019 at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd. from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with the recital of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 pm with military honors under the auspices of VFW post 8788 of McAllen. Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
