Obituary for Arthur Serafino “Art” Montini Arthur Serafino “Art” Montini, 90 of Aliquippa is at peace. He passed away May 25, 2018. Art was born October 11, 1927 in Aliquippa and was the son of the late Serafino and Adelgisa Montini.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Margaret Montini, a daughter Karen Ward and son Arthur “Too Too” Montini. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Art was retried from LTV where he worked as a foreman.

He honorably served our country during World War II in the U.S. Navy. Art was a dedicated weight lifter. He held multiple All-Round weightlifting world records with the USAWA and IAWA.

He was inducted into the Beaver County Sports Hall of Fame; a proud life member of the NRA and was very avid bowler. He lifted daily at the Barbell Club, for which he was a founding member, then he enjoyed his morning coffee Mac’s Doughnuts. Art is survived by his children and spouses: Robert (Maria) Montini, Paul (Kathy) Montini, Mark Montini and a son-in-law: Dennis Ward.

Nine grandchildren; Chris(Melissa), Jason (Marsha), Christine (Greg), Doug, Rocco, Lance, Brad, Tim and Katie, nine great grandchildren, two sisters and brothers-in-law; Antoinette and Pete Milich, Pauline and John Coleman and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8 pm in the Anthony Mastrofrancesco Funeral Home Inc. 2026 McMinn Street, Aliquippa, 724-375-0496. Departing prayers will begin Wednesday at 9:15 am in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 am in St. Catherine of Siena Church.

Private interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in care of the funeral home in memory of Art.
