Obituary for Leo A. Silvestri Leo A. Silvestri, 86 of Aliquippa passed away after a brief illness on June 22, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born March 31, 1932 in West Aliquippa and was the son of the late Nester and Maria (Rucci) Silvestri. In addition to his parents, Leo was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Pete and Virginia Silvestri.

He retired from J&L Steelworks where he worked in the blast furnace. Leo was an avid bowler and won many trophies and tournaments. He loved sports and was a Steelers and Pirates fan.

Leo also enjoyed his daily crossword puzzle. He is survived by his wife Eva (Mrkonja) Silvestri, a brother, Joseph Silvestri. Four sisters-in-law: Marie Battalini, Joann Mrkjona, Anna Marcello, Lilly Taoromina, three brothers-in-law: Joseph Mrkonja, Louis Mrkonja, and John (Josephine) Mrkonja.

Leo will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends. At his request all services were private. Interment took place at St. Elijah Serbian Cemetery.
