Audrey Ruth Richmond October 05, 1944 – February 11, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Oakdale-Funeral service for Audrey Ruth Watkins Richmond, 74, will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Oakdale Bible Baptist Church. Rev. Elden Mayo will officiate.

Burial will follow in Cryer Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes. The family will receive visitors at Oakdale Bible Baptist Church on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 from 3-10 p.m. Visitation will resume Thursday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service. Audrey was a loving wife to her husband, Charles, for 54 years until his passing eight months ago.

She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved taking care of her grandchildren any chance she got. Audrey loved to visit; but what she loved even more was to have people come visit her.

Audrey was all about family. Her neighbor, Freck, was always there for her as well as Rev. Mayo.

Her main purpose in life was her special needs daughter, Kim, and her great granddaughter, Kelsi. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Those left to cherish Audrey’s memory include her son, Craig Richmond (Gwen); three daughters, Deidra Brady (Melvin), Kim Richmond, and Angela Ashworth; three brothers, Richard Watkins (Sarah), James Watkins, and Bryan Watkins (Juanita); two sisters, Doris Ann Coffman (Milton) and Penny Thornhill (Leon); seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Audrey is preceded in death by her parents, Wilson and Zeline Watkins; and her husband, Charles Richmond.
