Auston Glen Samuel June 09, 1938 – January 20, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries Mr. Auston Glen Samuel departed this life Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 80 years, 7 months and 11 days. He was born in and had lived most of his lifetime in Trumann. He owned Samuel Auto Sales, was a veteran of U.S. Army and was a member of McCormick Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joy Faye Brown Samuel; one sister, Linda Selman; one brother, Roger Dale Samuel; and his parents, Sidney and Blanchie West Samuel. He is survived by one daughter, Laronda Mabe and husband Mike of Trumann; one son, Ronnie Samuel and wife Lisa of Trumann; two sisters, Erma Privett of Engelhard, NC and Patricia Knighten of Ada, OK; five grandchildren, Tiffany Ragsdale, Ian Samuel, Nicole Denton, Kalee Benson and Rafe Samuel; five great-grandchildren, Cayden Kimery, Bailey Grace Dillinger, Jace Kimery, Brylan Denton and Sydeny Samuel; and a great niece who was his care giver, Sarah Brooks. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at McCormick Baptist Church with Rev.

Rick Kimery and Rev. Terry Tacker officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.

Pallbearers will be Larry Bishop, Travis Worthington, Jeremiah Ragsdale, Bill King, Barry Hick, Roger Mooneyham. Honorary pallbearers will be Bully Raymond and Gary Beard. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at McCormick Baptist Church, 10301 Priestly Lane, McCormick, AR near Trumann.
