Obituary for Banner Estep Banner Estep, Hiltons, VA Marion Banner Estep, 81, Hiltons, VA passed away Saturday September 29, 2018 at NOVA Health and Rehab in Weber City, VA. He was born on February 12, 1937 to the late Bertha Carter and James Monroe Estep. He is also preceded in death by his sisters, Nannie Estep, Thelma Saul, Frances McCoy, and Ruth Estep, along with one brother Charles Estep.
Banner is survived by his sons Lynn Estep and wife Amy, Fall Branch, TN, Tim Estep and wife Rhonda, Hiltons, VA; sister, Helen Fletcher, Baltimore, MD; grandchildren, Adam Estep, Julie Carroll and husband Chris; Step-Grandaughter Sydney Ison and husband Matt; great-grandchildren, Bentley & Alexis Carroll, and Kyleigh Ison; along with several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at the Gate City Funeral Home on Monday, October 1, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The funeral will be in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. with the Rev. Lonnie Townsend and Bro.
Jason Nunley officiating. Music will be provided by the Bowen Chapel Singers. A graveside service will be on Tuesday October 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Saul-Gray Cemetery in Dungannon, VA.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be J. C. Saul, Donnie Ray Saul, Everette Saul, Adam Estep, Christopher Carroll, and Randy Jarrett. For those wishing to attend the graveside service, please arrive at the funeral home 10:00 a.m. in order to go in procession to the cemetery.
