Barbara A. Reed Thompson, 72, of Latrobe passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018, in Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. Born July 15, 1945, in Latrobe, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Reed. Barbara was a retired waitress from Mozart House and other restaurants; she also worked as a child care assistant.

She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and a volunteer and member of the Latrobe Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Reed. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Alan Thompson; two sons, Charles Ferry and Frank Michael Thompson; four grandchildren, Ronni Sue and Jacob John Ferry and Bowen and Harlee Thompson; four great-grandchildren, and her sister, Millie Quinn.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, May 4, in Frederick Funeral Home Inc., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 4, in the funeral home with the Rev. Les Hutchins Jr. as officiant.
