Frances O. (Duren) Gaines, 96, of Latrobe passed away Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018, in Loyalhanna Care Center, Derry Township. Born Jan.

30, 1922, in Clarksville, Texas (Red River County), she was a daughter of the late Arthur Lee Duren and Mable Garrett Duren. Frances was a retired housekeeper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie F. Gaines, and seven brothers and sisters, J.C. Stevens, Bonice Buterbaugh, Martha Martin, Buddy Duren, Bill Duren, Doris Smith and Lallie Killough.

She is survived by two daughters, Martha Markowsky of Latrobe and Deborah Rigsby of Austin, Texas, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As per her request, there will be no public visitation. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept.

20, at Unity Cemetery with the Rev. John Mary Tompkins, OSB, officiating. Burial will be in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township.
