Obituary of Loretta Durishan Loretta M. Durishan, 93 of Latrobe, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018. She was born on July 18, 1925 in Carnegie, PA, the daughter of the late Vincent A. and Elvira (Weiss) Snyder. Loretta was an active member of St. Vincent Basilica Parish where she volunteered at the church gift shop and at the St. Vincent Gristmill.

She was an avid knitter and would volunteer her time knitting for charities. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband John D. Durishan. She is survived by her six children: Mark Durishan and his wife Elizabeth of Charleston, SC, Jackie Scavnicky and her husband Lou of Martinsburg, WV, Tom Durishan and his wife Margie of New Stanton, Dan Durishan of Aston, PA, Julie Warner and her husband Bob of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Gerry Durishan of Irwin; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Loretta’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Loyalhanna Care Center and the Latrobe Hospital for the care that they provided to Loretta. Loretta’s family will receive friends on Thursday, September 27th from 10 – 11 AM in St. Vincent Basilica Parish, 300 Fraser Purchase Road, Latrobe, PA. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00AM in the basilica.

Interment will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Loretta M. Durishan Scholarship Fund – St Vincent Seminary at 300 Fraser Purchase Road, Latrobe, PA 15650 or to the Carmelite Monastery at 5206 Center Drive, Latrobe, PA 15650.
