Barbara A. Zawadil Linwood, Michigan Barbara passed away on September 11, 2018 with her family by her side. Age 78, the daughter of the late Joseph Balenda & Dorothy (Pasant) Barnella, was born on October 8, 1939. Barbara married Willard Zawadil on April 11, 1964 at St. Anne Church in Linwood.

He preceded her in death on August 23, 2017. Barbara was retired from Meijer as a greeter and had worked at Wilson Cheese Shoppe in Pinconning. She enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles,… Read More » and the many pets she had throughout her life.

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Deanne (David) Rytlewski, Beth (James) Stark, granddaughter Kes Stark, brother Thomas Balenda, sister Mary (Bryan) Nowland, sister-in-law Roberta (Norman) LaPorte, and sister-in-law Nancy Balenda. Barbara was preceded in death by her brothers John Balenda, Michael Balenda, and Patrick Barnella. We would like to extend a very special Thank you to McLaren Bay Special Care Hospital and McLaren Hospice for their service and compassion with our mother.

Funeral service will take place Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 6 pm from Rivertown Funeral Chapel in Kawkawlin, with Deacon Michael Arnold presiding. Friends may call from 4 pm until the time of service. Those planning on expression of sympathy may consider memorials to McLaren Hospice.
