Barbara Anne Coy, age 67 of Spring Lake, was promoted to Glory on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Heartwood Lodge. She was born on September 11, 1951 in Wyandotte, MI to Edward and Helen (Krueger) Belton. Barbara graduated from Petoskey High School and volunteered at the Salvation Army in the food pantry.

She enjoyed assisting with activities at the Evergreen Apartments and was very involved in the community events they hosted. Barbara had a passion for reading books and knitting. She had a big heart and loved people, and had many friends in her community who she will be fondly remembered by.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Wendy (Luis) Herrera of Charleston, SC; grandchild, Hunter Herrera; siblings: Robert (Karen) Belton of Petoskey, MI, Carol (Denny) Parker of Grand Haven, Deborah (Richard) Greenwell of Mansfield, TX, Kevin (Jill) Griffin of Naples, FL, Jeff (Connie) Griffin of Hot Springs, AR; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Coy in 2009; father, Edward Belton; mother, Helen (Krueger) Griffin; and step-father, Kenneth Griffin. The Memorial Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at the Salvation Army, Grand Haven.

Majors Jay and Sally Davis will be officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, Grand Haven.
