Mrs. Margaret N. Hospers, age 93 of Grand Haven, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 17, 2019. She was born on March 5, 1926 in Hull, IA to the late Henry and Grace (Van Tol) Kosters. Margaret married Rev.

Alvin Hospers on August 14, 1951 in Hull, IA. He preceded her in death on July 23, 2009. Margaret and her husband moved from Oskaloosa, IA to Grand Haven in 1971.

She was a teacher for several years, and was also employed at Old Kent Bank & Trust (Fifth Third) from 1972 to 1990. Margaret was a member of the Second Reformed Church where she assisted her husband with the church ministries. She was a member of the Bell Choir, volunteered at Kids Hope, and was in charge of the kitchen staff at church.

Margaret was an avid reader and loved to sew. She also assisted Rev. Al with his previous churches in Pultneyville, NY, Brandon, WI, Oskaloosa IA, and Grand Haven, MI.

Margaret is survived by her loving family: Mary (Brad) Rogers of Kalamazoo, MI, Ruth (Andy) Bowne of Yorktown, IN, and Mark (Jane) Hospers of Ponte Vedra, FL. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Jennifer (Justin) Lyons, Matthew Hospers, Michael Bowne, and Elizabeth Bowne; and great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Jordyn Lyons. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin; son, Paul Hospers; sister, Fannetta DeWild; and brother, William Kosters.

The Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Second Reformed Church. Friends and family are invited to meet the family from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 20th at Klaassen Family Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the Church. Interment will be at Lake Forest Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of North Ottawa Community.
