Frank J. Eisenhauer, age 73, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 10, 2019 at his home. He was born November 14, 1945 in Saginaw, MI to William J. and Irene V. (Dees) Eisenhauer and lived in the Portland, MI area most of his married life before moving to Fruitport in 2015. Frank was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War Era.

On May 29, 1969, he married Mary Alice Elsie in Montague, MI and they would celebrate 50 years of marriage this year. Frank earned his MBA from Central Michigan University and worked as a sales representative for Aldik Artificial Flower Company for 20 years retiring in 2012. Frank was a founding member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Portland, MI and was currently an active member of Lakeshore Lutheran Fellowship where he took part in study groups and other activities.

He was also a recent member of the American Legion Post #28 in Grand Haven. Frank enjoyed fishing, boating, trips to Canada and photography. He was an avid reader, history buff and was especially interested in genealogy and his ancestry.

Frank was a talented model airplane and boat enthusiast and had a unique ability to guess wrapped presents before opening them. He enjoyed western movies and chasing squirrels out of the yard. Frank was foremost a family man – devoted to his wife, children and grandkids.

His favorite pastime was attending the many sporting events for his grandkids. Frank was dearly loved by his family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Mary Alice Eisenhauer; 2 children, Shannon (Scott) McFarren, Daniel (Jessica) Eisenhauer; 6 grandchildren, Tanner McFarren, Brieanna McFarren, Brandon McFarren, Isabella Eisenhauer, Jocelyn Eisenhauer, Liliana Eisenhauer; 1 brother, Ronald (Phyllis) Eisenhauer; 2 sisters, Catherine Wilson and Joyce Kniseley.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers, Eugene, Ralph, Wayne and Ervin Eisenhauer. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, May 13, 2019 at Lakeshore Lutheran Fellowship (16790 Van Wagoner Rd. , Spring Lake) with Pastor Chris Boehnke officiating with Military Honors offered by the Muskegon County Council of Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Sunday at Lakeshore Lutheran Fellowship and one hour prior to the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Frank’s grandchildren’s college fund. Arrangements by The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100.
