Sunapee, NH – Barbara “Bobbie” Ann Gallup, 84, of Burkehaven Hill Road and Vero Beach, FL died unexpectedly on Saturday, February 2, 2019 in Vero Beach, FL. Bobbie was born on March 7, 1934, in Newport, NH to Robert and Eleanor Hill of Sunapee, NH. She graduated from Northfield Mount Hermon Preparatory School for Girls, Northfield, MA and studied for several years at Colby Sawyer College, New London, NH.

Bobbie worked and raised her family along-side her parents at The Woodbine Cottage, Sunapee, NH. Bobbie was an active member of the Sunapee Ski School, regularly performing in Sunapee Harbor water ski shows and participating in state-wide slalom competitions. She put her creative talents and sense of humor on display at Sunapee town parades, boat parades, Alumni basketball games, and Women’s Club events.

She later owned and operated the Burkehaven Motel, Sunapee, NH, with her late husband, Paul T. Gallup. In the fall of 1975, Paul and Bobbie began their seasonal stay in Vero Beach, FL. Bobbie loved spending time with her family, especially warm summer days at Dewey Beach with her three children Linda, Paul, and Laurie.

She had many passions, one of which as an avid artist, spending many hours painting and crafting. She loved playing tennis and golf and enjoyed the great friendships that came with them. She treasured family gatherings and was a loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.

She is survived by her beloved family: Linda and Ken Dennis and their children Cara and Kyle Dennis; Paul Jr. and Brenda (Schuldt) Gallup and their children Daniel and Scott and his wife Tasha (Gillman) Gallup; and Laurie and Jack Edwards and their children, Candace, Jesse and Dustin Hayes and great-grandson Logan Hayes. Services will be held in the spring at the convenience of the family.
