Barbara Porter Evans of Monticello, Mississippi July 16, 1942 – April 28, 2019 Ms. Barbara Porter Evans, 76 of Monticello, MS passed away on April 28, 2019 at Lawrence County Nursing Center in Monticello, MS. Ms. Barbara was born on July 16, 1942 in Greenville, MS to Eugene and Charlie Cassie Porter. Visitation for the family will be Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Forest Hill Funeral Home East in Memphis, TN from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM.

A Graveside Service will be held in Memphis, TN at Forest Hill Funeral Home East Cemetery, Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 12:00 PM. She was an Elvis loving, Pepsi drinking Ole Miss fan. She loved to cross-stitch and go to all of the festivals and sell her things.

She loved her church, church family, husband, sons, siblings, and her sweet grandchildren. She instilled this love in her sons, Bobby Evans (Barbara) of Germantown, TN, the Rev. Michael Evans (Betty) of Monticello, MS, and her 4 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.

Barbara retired from L&L Tool Company of Greenville, MS. She is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and her beloved husband Bobby Wayne Evans. The family asks that donations may be made to Camp Wesley Pines in Hazlehurst, MS in lieu of flowers.
