Barbara L. (Mills) Broberg, 83 of Brockton, MA passed away Friday December 14, 2018 at Brockton Hospital after a short illness. She was the wife of the late Russell W. Broberg. Born August 18, 1935 in Boston she was the daughter of the late Henry B. and Lillian C. (Weymouth) Mills.

Barbara was a graduate of Jamaica Plain High School and has lived in Brockton for the past 51 years. She was employed at Burger King for over 25 years and was a long time member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Holbrook. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, baking, and was well known for her baked macaroni and cheese and her Swedish meat balls, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by 2 children Russell Broberg and his wife Robin J. of Lakeville and Sheryl L. Work and her husband William, III of Brockton; 5 grandchildren Christine L. Moreau, Heather L. Broberg, Leanna RW Conant, Derek T. Merner and Kellie A. Merner; 6 great-grandchildren Brain D. Moreau, Sarah L. Moreau, Bradley J. Conant, Lucas R. Conant, Logan T. Conant and Flynn Merner; a sister Shirley Bausch and her husband Robert A. and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Ellen C. Merner and sister of the late Roberta L. Martello. Visitation will take place on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 10 – 11 AM in St. John’s Episcopal Church, 322 South Franklin St, Holbrook followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.

Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery in Brockton. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to St. Jude Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to St. John’s Episcopal Church.
