Curtis F. Dow, 82, of Lakeville, husband of Lois J. (Mostrom), died Dec. 11, 2018, at Morton Hospital in Taunton after a long illness. Born Sept.

3, 1936 in Brockton to Frank J. Dow and Elsie M. (MacFarland,) he was the brother of the late David Dow. Curtis attended Lakeville schools until he graduated from Bristol-Agricultural High School. He was a self-employed logger for more than 50 years, working to manage forestland across Southeastern Mass for many cranberry growers and large property owners.

Curtis was a former member of the Sachem Steppers square-dancing club, the Fifties Club, and the Antique Truck Association. He was a former deacon at Central Congregational Church in Middleboro. He enjoyed stock car racing, antique trucks, the beach in Mattapoisett, and traveling on various cruises, particularly to Alaska and the Panama Canal.

He enjoyed mechanical things and could fix almost anything. He enjoyed nature and animals, frequently bringing displaced baby animals like flying squirrels and bunnies home. Curtis was dedicated to his family, most particularly Lois, his wife of nearly 60 years.

Curtis is survived by Lois, their son Robert C. Dow (Cindy-Lou Green), daughter Cynthia J. Geib, son William J. Dow (Amy T. Sullivan), sisters-in-law Jeannette Bricknell, Pauline Mostrom, and Lorraine Mostrom, grandchildren Daniel Geib, Tara Hayworth, Michele Dow, Jennifer Dow, Kaitlyn Dow, Carly Dow, and Liam Dow, several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held Saturday, Dec.
