Barbara A. “Penny” Friedrichsen, age 75 of Perry Twp. passed away on September 07, 2018. She was born on October 19, 1942 to the late Katheryn and James L. Ackerman Sr. in Massillon.

She married James E. Friedrichsen on September 05, 1964 and they shared 54 years together Penny worked for Brechbuhler Scales for 10 years until her retirement. She enjoyed taking care of her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She was active in the Marriage Encounter Movement and enjoyed Genealogy.

Penny is survived by her husband Jim; her children James (Martha) Friedrichsen III and Danielle (Toby) Karyadi; her grandchildren Benjamin, Samantha, Missy, Jacqueline, Caitlin, Xavier and Tristan; her sister, Mary Benjamin; her half-sister Linda (Mike) Ivan and her half-brothers Thomas (Pat) Ackerman and Michael (Michelle) Ackerman as well as a host of family and friends. Penny was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Jean ton and her brother James Ackerman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 10a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.

Rev. David Weikart will be officiating. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 6-8p.m. Interment will be Calvary Cemetery.
