Mildred Irene Criss, 78 of Massillon, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018. Mildred was born on July 5, 1940 in Dola, WV the daughter of the late Okey W. and Margaret Viola (Barker) Shreve. She worked for Republic Steel and retired after 32 years of service.

She was a former member of Sippo Valley Brethren In Christ and Forty Corners Christian Church. Mildred enjoyed watching her hummingbirds and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Foster Clarence Criss.

She is survived by her children, Darla Doyle, Daryl “Weeble” Criss, and Donna Horst; grandchildren, Jessika Lanier, Alivia Horst, and Jenna Doyle; great-grandchildren, Prestyn, Kahlia, King, Raelyn, Khloe, and Kyvere; brothers, Garry (Jerri) Shreve and Okey L. (Gail) Shreves; step-sisters, Peggy (Pete) Commarata and Mary (Jim) Gump; and step-brother, Luther (Linda) Rogers. A Celebration of Mildred’s Life will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Brookfield Cemetery.
