OBITUARY Belva Merica Adkins February 21, 1946 – September 7, 2018 Belva Merica Adkins, 72, of Waynesboro passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Augusta Health. Born February 21, 1946 in Rockingham County, she was the daughter of the late Manuel DeWitt and Merl Slye Merica. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Judith Warble.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Johnie Adkins; son, Jeffrey Adkins; brother, Velty Merica and wife, Lou; sister, Debbie Lam and husband, Adam; two grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., Waynesboro. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Velty Merica, Adam Lam, Layton Warble, Jr., Stewart Lam, Theo Hensley and Steve Hull. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
