OBITUARY David H. Beech February 26, 1933 – October 1, 2018 David H. Beech went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 1, 2018. He was born February 26, 1933 in Pawtucket, RI, a son of the late Fred P. and Joan Beech. David was a veteran of the United States Navy but was never on a ship.

He flew on Air Transport Squadron One at the United States Naval Air Station at Patuxent River, MD. Mr. Beech worked seven years at the General Electric Tool Room in Waynesboro. After 33 years, David retired from Objective Industries in Fishersville, where he worked as a Tool and Die Foreman.

During the 1960’s and 1970’s, he was a volunteer firefighter for the Waynesboro Fire Department. He was a member of the Waynesboro Moose Lodge 1309. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob and Charles; a sister, Lois; and a sister-in-law, Rebecca Ross.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Roxann (Marsh) Beech, whom he married on June 5, 1965 at Wayne Hills United Methodist Church; two sons, Andrew D. Beech and Wesley D. Beech and wife, Amy; four grandsons, Cory, Dylan, Zack and Tanner; brother-in-law, Richard Marsh and wife, Debra; one sister, Pat Walling; daughter-in-law, Nikki Estes; as well as his feline pets, Pumpkin and Prissy. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., with Rev. Bill Bearden and Rev.

Linda Kusse-Wolfe officiating. Military Honors provided by Stuarts Draft VFW Post 9339 will follow. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the funeral home.

At his request, Mr. Beech will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shenandoah Valley Animal Services, 1001 Mt. Torrey Rd.
