OBITUARY William D. Henderson, Jr. November 14, 1940 – October 29, 2018 William Dreadnaught Henderson, Jr., 77, of Colonial Heights, Va passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018. Born November 14, 1940 in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late William Dreadnaught Henderson, Sr. and Elsie Marie (Cofffman) Henderson. William owned and operated Henderson’s Texaco Service Station for 47 years in North Chesterfield County, Va.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Faye Falls Henderson; two sons, Mark Henderson and Barry Henderson both of Chesterfield County, Va; grandchildren, Christopher Gibbs, Joshua Henderson, Shawn Henderson, Matthew Henderson and Sarah Boyd; great-grandchildren, Aden, Ashton and Austin Boyd; sister, JoAnne Rasmussen and husband, Rodney of Virginia Beach, Va; and brother, Gary Henderson and wife, Anna of Harrisonburg, Va. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St. Following the visitation, there will be a procession from the funeral home to Augusta Memorial Park for a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. Active pallbearers will be Mark Henderson, Barry Henderson, Matthew Henderson, Christopher Gibbs, Joshua Henderson and Shawn Henderson. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice.
