Obituary for Bennie Ray Snead Bennie Ray Snead, 74, of 1048 Countryside Drive Ringgold VA. went home to be with his heavenly Father Saturday, June 16, 2018 at his residence after being in declining health for four years. Bennie was born on March 14, 1944 in Danville VA.

a son of the late John Bennie Snead and Lillian Weatherford. He had lived most of his life in Pittsylvania County. He graduated from Dan River High School in 1962 and was a member of the Antique Tractor Pulling Association.

Bennie had retired from the Pittsylvania County Service Authority where he worked for over 20 years and at retirement was the Director. Bennie was a member of the Tabernacle Church in Danville VA. On April 3, 1965, he married his childhood sweetheart, Sylvia Fitts Snead, who survives of the residence.

Bennie is also survived by two daughters, Jennifer S. Wilkerson and husband, Greg of Ringgold VA. and Stephanie S. Blevins and husband Chris of Ringgold VA. ; a brother Johnny Snead and wife Nancy of Ringgold VA.

and a sister, Patsy S. Goad of Danville VA; four Grandchildren, Jessica Wilkerson, Elizabeth Wilkerson, Erin Blevins and Jackson Blevins. Funeral Services for Bennie will be conducted on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. from the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel by the Reverend Carl Burger. The interment will be in Highland Burial Park.

The family will receive friends at the residence 1048 Countryside Drive Ringgold VA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations be made to the Ringgold Fire & Rescue P.O. Box 10 Ringgold VA. 24586.
