OBITUARY Benny D. Howell August 10, 1954 – October 9, 2018 Funeral Service for Benny D. Howell 64 of Anniston will be held Friday October 12, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forestlawn cemetery. Visitation will be 12:30 to 2 pm on Friday October 12 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.

Mr. Howell passed away on October 9, 2018 surrounded by family and friends. He is survived by his sisters Janice (David) Screws, Sue H Thrash, grandchildren Anna, Andrew, Lexie Howell and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Howell is preceded in death by his wife Susan Howell, sons, Matthew Howell, Chris Howell, his wonderful Christian parents Guy and Inez Howell, and nephew Kevin Screws.

Pallbearers will be Larry Amerson retired Sheriff Cal. Co., Nathan McFarland, Jonathan Screws, Don Pitts, Buddy Langley, Andrew Howell and Spencer Screws United States Marine Corp. Mr. Howell was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County.

He was a 1972 graduate of Wellborn High School, he was a member of Wellborn Christian church where he had served as trustee and deacon. He was an avid lover of animals and loved Alabama football. He was a loving brother, and grandfather.

His grandchildren Anna, Andrew, and Lexie were the loves of his life. Benny’s role model was his dad Guy W. Howell also of Wellborn. Benny could talk hours about his wonderful Christian parents.

Per Benny’s request in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
