Berline’s Obituary Berline Temple Wynn Rodriguez Brown was born in Clinton, NC on September 14, 1936 to Carrie Wynn and David Wynn, Sr She moved to Springfield in 1956 to join her older sister Eunice. She married her first husband Raymond Rodriguez in 1957.

She received her Barbers License and went on to work at Steiger’s Department Store and Digital Equipment Corporation. She married her second husband Willie Judson Brown in 1984. They enjoyed travelling to Cape Cod along with trying their luck at casinos.

Berline was known for her outgoing personality and her warm smile. She loved her family and treasured the many friends she made over the years. She was an avid Bingo player and never one to pass up a chance at a winning scratch-off ticket.

Berline Brown departed from this life on Saturday February 2, 2019 at the age of 82. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Joyce and Eunice, her brothers Sherwood and John, her husband Willie “Jet” Brown and her son Jeffrey Rodriguez. She is survived by her brother David (Juanita) Wynn, Jr. of Clinton, NC, sister Shirley (Will) Batiste of Rochester, NY, a grandson Richard (Jessie) Lomax, 3 great-grandchildren, Makayla Lomax, Anthony Lomax and Anthony Cruz and a great-great granddaughter all of Springfield.

She leaves to cherish her memory her step-daughter Dee Kelley of New York City; sisters-in-law Myrna E. Wynn of Boston, Eleanor (Brown) Thornton of Maryland, Carrie (Walter) Easterling of North Carolina; brothers-in-law Henry (Sara) Brown, Johnny Brown all of North Carolina and Helen (Bruce) Williams and Walter Brown all of Springfield. Berline’s nephews and nieces include Johnnie (Michelle) Sampson, Brenda J. Wynn, Cynthia (Doug) Williams, Denise Batiste, Darryl Wynn, Vodney Wynn, Ronnie Oates and Symone McIntosh. She is also survived by her honorary son and daughter Greg Brantley and Vivian Green along with a host of many other loving relatives and special friends.

The family of Mrs. Berline Brown would especially like to thank the staff of Wingate at Springfield Nursing Home for their dedication and care of our loved one over the last 15 months. She will be missed.
