Bernadette Marie Flowers, 17, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, July 25, 2018 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born March 9, 2001 in Johnstown, a daughter of Stephanie and Daniel L. Apone, of Greensburg. She attended Greensburg Salem High School in their homebound program.

She was a member of St. Paul Parish, Greensburg and was actively involved in many church activities, including youth group and the church’s annual trash and treasure sale. Bernadette enjoyed her family and friends and touched the hearts of everyone she met. She was a very special girl who was greatly loved.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her maternal grandmother, Jean Newcomb, of Boothwyn; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Sunday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC. , 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Monday in St. Paul Parish, Greensburg. Everyone please go directly to the church. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.

Bernadette asks everyone to wear something blue to her funeral in honor of the Blessed Mother. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Excela Hospice, 501 W. Otterman St., Greensburg, PA 15601. The family would like to thank Excela Hospice for their exceptional love and care in the last months of Bernadette’s life.
