Bernice Roark, 90, a resident of McDonald, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday morning, April 15, 2018. She was born on February 8, 1928 to the late Delmar & Ellen Lewis. Bernice was a member of the Westwood Baptist Church.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and entertaining others. She had a vibrant personality, always making others laugh. Bernice will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

Bernice leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving children, Eilene Rushing (Keith) and Geary Roark; grandchildren, Lance Hooper (Jacqueline), James Alexander “Jim” Rushing, and Mary Sullivan Roark; great-granddaughter, Hannah Riley Hooper; sister, Margie Hullander; as well as extended family and her friends at Morningside. The family will receive friends on Thursday April 19, 2018, from 3:00pm until 5:00pm at the Westwood Baptist Church, located at 4001 Georgetown Road, Cleveland, TN 37312.

A celebration of life service will begin at 5:00pm at the church, with Pastor Jim Cawood officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www. alz.org.
