Bertha S. (Creese) Fosnaught, 85 of Bairdford, West Deer Township died Monday September 10, 2018 at UPMC-Passavant, McCandless with her family by her side. She was born March 2, 1933 in Verona to the late Floyd and Dorothy (McDade) Creese. She grew up in Verona, where she lived until she moved to West Deer in 1953, where she has lived for the past 65 years.

Bert was a member of the Deer Lakes Community Church of the Nazarene, West Deer. She worked as a School Bus Monitor for over years for the Fox Chapel School District. Bert enjoyed crafts but especially enjoyed caring for her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 70 years Joseph M. “Fuzz” Fosnaught, her daughters Donna M. Thornton of Buffalo Township and Diana M. Wendell of Bairdford and her sons Joseph M. (Jamie) Fosnaught, Jr. of Acmetonia and Gary (Marybeth) Fosnaught of West Deer, 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, her sisters Dorothy A. Harris of TX, Thelma J. Chestnut of Scottdale, and Carol L. (Charles) Fountain of TX, and her brothers William (Beverly) Creese and Robert J. (Judy) Creese both of TX. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Debora M. Solamo, her son George M. Fosnaught and her great-granddaughter Rachel Michelle Wood, her sister Melvenea Feigworth Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer, where funeral services will be conducted Friday 10 am with the Rev. Richard E. Wise, officiating.

She will be laid to rest in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township. View obituary online and leave condolences at www.
