Betty’s Obituary Betty Jean Brewton Waters, 90 of Jesup died Wednesday, March 6, 2019 in Mossy Oak Assisted Living. Born in Glennville to James Oscar and Minnie Bacon Brewton, she graduated from Savannah High School in 1946 and then moved to Jesup to work for her Aunt Margaret Brewton Walker and R.L. Walker at Walker Chevrolet. Betty met her future husband, Robert Waters, who owned Robert Waters Furniture Company and they were married July 1, 1950.

She was a member of Jesup First Baptist Church. Betty went to work for Robert Eubanks Accounting Firm in 1962 and later retired from Bryan Drury and Griffis Accountants in 2000. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Waters.

Survivors are 3 daughters, Anne (Larry) Thompson of Statesboro, Barbara (Mitchell) Reddish of Deland, Fla. and Mary Waters of Jesup; a son, Bob (Carol) Waters of Jesup; 8 grandchildren, Rusty (Christine) Thompson of Statesboro, Dusty (Herb) Milner of Winter Park, Fla. , Kelly (Lorraine) Thompson of Jackson, Wy.

, Tim (Naomi) Reddish, Beth (Art) Wright, both of Richmond, Va. , Michael (Sarah) Reddish of Nashville, Tenn. , April Waters of Athens and Mandee Waters of Jesup; 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home with Dr. Mitchell Reddish and Pastor Mike VonMoss officiating. Interment will follow in the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her family.

Visitation will be an hour prior to services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Advocates for Developmental Disabilities, 1848 S. Sunset Blvd. , Jesup, Ga.
