OBITUARY Betty J. Jackson August 3, 1924 – January 12, 2019 Betty Jane Jackson, 94, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019 at her home. She was born August 3, 1924 in Centralia, IL to the late Hugh and Georgia (Bush) Erwin. She had worked at Republic Aviation, Shane Manufacturing, Plumbers and Steam Fitters Union and retired from the Brewery and Soft Drink Union after many years.

Betty was a member of VFW Post 1114 Auxiliary (and was a past president) and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 265. She enjoyed music, dancing, camping, ceramics, Bingo and playing cards. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Billy Jackson in 2000.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Harnishfeger (Paul); son, Richard Jackson (Marie); 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Deaconess VNA Hospice for their care. A Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road, officiated by Pastor Brian Sorensen.

Friends may visit 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Deaconess VNA Hospice in her name. Condolences may be made online at www.
